Services Relative to Existing Housing Projects
Lindgren, Callihan, Van Osdol & Co., Ltd. provides annual compliance services including audits of projects under both the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Agency. We have a diversified multifamily housing practice which includes projects managed by private companies and public housing authorities.
Many of the properties managed by our clients require Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) monitoring to ensure compliance with IRS regulations as to tenant eligibility as well as other restrictions. We assisted several clients in establishing LIHTC monitoring systems as a part of the tax services we offer these clients.
Services Relative to New Construction
Our Firm has many developer and project manager clients who have participated in government-insured programs for either new construction of rehabs of existing projects. We have provided all necessary cost certification services required by either HUD or the U.S. Department of Agriculture for both individual contractors or mortgagors.
We have participated in the application for Low Income Tax Credits for projects located in Illinois and Wisconsin. Our work has included feasibility studies and projections of benefits for prospective investors.
