LCV Intern Named NIU Intern of the Month
Cody Smith, a Rockford Office intern from NIU, was recently chosen the 2008 Internship/Co-op Student of the Month for Spring. To qualify for this award, internship students were required to write about their work experience and submit this along with a letter of recommendation from their internship employer and an NIU faculty member. Cody will be awarded a $100 gift certificate from NIU, and will be eligible to compete for the Internship/Co-op Student of the Year. Congratulations, Cody!
LCV NIU Accounting Scholarships
LCV contributed two $1,500 scholarships to Northern Illinois University students. Neal Richardson,
CPA, ABV, Executive Officer and President/CEO of LCV presented the scholarships to Megan Schwartz and Parth Soni at the NIU banquet (pictured below).
NIU's College of Business is ranked 65th out of 93 programs designated as The Best Undergrad Business Schools. NIU's ranking places their College of Business in the company of nationally-known schools such as the University of Iowa (68th), Arizona State University (66th) and Perdue University (60th).
